The portable InsuJetTM V5 is ideal for self-injection. The InsuJetTM package contains the reusable injector, a sturdy Carry Case, an Instructions For Use booklet and a warranty card. Besides the injector you will require reusable InsuJetTM Nozzles, 3mL or 10mL Adaptors for your insulin, and your prescribed type of insulin to start using the system. Nozzles and Adaptors are sold separately.

Comfort Ring

The Comfort Ring can be optionally used to reduce the pressure of the Nozzle on relatively soft or sensitive areas of administration.

InsuJet™ Nozzle

The nozzle holds the insulin. A tiny orifice allows for a needle-free jet injection. The nozzle should be replaced after 56 injections, or after two weeks, whichever comes first.

Nozzle lock

Before administration, ensure that the Nozzle Lock Switch points to the locked position. This indicates that the Nozzle is secured.

Dosage adjustment

Wind the injector to take in insulin into the nozzle. By winding in the '+' or '-' direction, you can either increase or decrease the target dose.

Dosage

Display for the number of units taken into the Nozzle. This can be adjusted by winding the Dosage adjustment.

Safety lock

Slide the red safety catch to the side and hold it there to unlock the safety release system. The device will now inject when the is pushed against with your desired administration area.

Needlestick injuries can be caused through unsafe procedures, difficult working conditions and unsafe devices. InsuJetTM can help prevent needle stick injuries for medical professionals. 

In Germany an average of 50.3% (n = 492/978) of all needlestick injuries could have been avoided by the use of safety devices, whereas only 15.2% could have been prevented by organizational measures. In a study, 31.5% (n = 503/1598) of participant healthcare workers had sustained at least one needlestick injury in the past twelve months. The rate of underreporting was about 75%. After introduction of safety devices, 91.8% of the healthcare workers reported being satisfied with the anti-needlestick devices and 83.4% believed that safety devices would increase the safety of the work environment.  

Occupational exposure to blood is a common problem among healthcare workers.

The introduction of Needle-free is one of the main starting points for avoidance of needlestick injuries, and acceptance among healthcare workers is high.

Further targets for preventive measures, such as training in safe working routines, are necessary for improvement of safe work conditions***. 

The InsuJet™ is suitable for most diabetics who require insulin therapy, and this includes both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Clinical studies have been conducted with similar results in both type 1 and 2 patients.  There was no indication that the jet injector performed differently in patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

81% of users has no problems during first time use. And the remaining others have little to no-trouble after consulting the instructions for use. 

96% of the respondents in a user survey found the InsuJet™ pleasant, user friendly and an efficient method of insulin administration, and over 78% would recommend the InsuJet™ systems to others. 

In the survey, 70% of the users reported that they noticed faster insulin absorption.
